Deserved it or not, we lost and Algeria qualified to South Africa 2010 after a 7 months race full of highs and lows ending with a tiebreaker in Sudan; if there is anyone to blame, it is us because we weren’t able to score, it is as simple as that.

At moments like these, one can remember with regret how Barakat could have ended all this hype only if he opted for his left foot rather than the right one to fire the last mercy bullet and send us to South Africa; but, unfortunately he didn’t.
