Beautiful Game! The problem has always been mentality and not talent with Egypt. When we are underdogs, the egos are subdued and we play great. When we aren't we usually blow it. Will be interesting to see how we do against the USA being favorites.

To me there is also one very important key. Zidan is our best striker. Hard working and its only under his leadership that we do well. Even if you think about the tough games in the CAN last year. Abou Treka has to be in behind him and Zidan the striker. This is absolutely key IMO. The whole team just works when it is the case. Mido may have a spot next to him but no Zaki please. We need players dedicated to the team. Not themselves. Treka + Zidan = success.

Congratulations Egypt for painting a great picture about the Arab and African football!!! I have not seen the game, but going by the (unexpected?) score and the various reactions, Egyptian players performed heroically. It goes to show that when we play fearlessly, we can compete with the best of them. Reminds me of Tunisia against Argentina in 2005, and even against Germany, despite the losses. Be careful with the Italians and the Americans after them; they will not be underestimating you! Great job.
