Bring it on!

3-1 Algeria. I think we only have to win by 2. Definitely possible but we will need a great performance. Algeria is a quality side

2-0 is more than possible, if Rwanda can score and lose 3-1 in the last minute from a penalty kick in algeria when they needed to score a lot, we definetly can achieve better in the presense of 80 thousand passionate and charged fans…..YA RAB!!
the quality of algerian team is debatable though!!

a game review with all the discussion soon

I have only seen them a couple of times and they have impressed me. Of course when we are on form we are probably better- but we seem to rarely be on form… NOVEMBER 14th is going to be EPIC

i will make sure i am there cheering with the fans…if anyone can go, please do!!

My name to be repeated again in sha2 2allah!
Algeria are a quality side indeed, Love them or Hate them, you have to give them that. Very unfair that both of us teams are in the same group… They were saying it’s 80-20 that Algeria will qualify before today.. now it’s 60-40 Egypt… We can do it!

Salam alaykoum,
Very unfortunate indeed that Algeria and Egypt are in the same group.
I’m Algerian and I believe the footbalistic tension and rivalry between our two countries is because we are very much alike, passionate with a fighting spirit! I believe Algeria will go through and in the unlikely case it does not happen I will still cheer brotherly Egypt in the world cup.
Salam alaykoum

I saw the game, the Algerians had two ball on the post, two goals refused, one after the ball entered one meter inside the net, the other after an imaginary offside, and the 4-5 good chances of adding easy goals. Rwanda is lucky to leave with 3 goals only.

And as far as the quality of Algerian team is concerned, I think that people like Arsene Wenger and Gerard Houilier know better, and they mentioned that the present Algerian team is a quality side.

HEYYY CAN ANY1 PLEASE TELL ME HOW MANY GOALS WE NEED TO SCORE TO QUALIFY??
AND IS ZIDAN COMING BACK BECOUSE APPARENTLY SHEHATA SAID HE WILL BE PLAYIN AGAINST ALGERIA
THANKS

Current standing:
Win Draw Loss F A Diff points
Algeria 4 1 0 9 2 7 13
Egypt 3 1 1 7 4 3 10
Senario 1: Algeria win then Algeria qualify.
Senario 2: draw then Algeria qualify.
Senario 3: Egypt win by 1 goal then Algeria qualify.
Senario 1: Egypt win 2-0
Egypt 4 1 1 9 4 5 13
Algeria 4 1 1 9 4 5 13
(Same goal diff and 3-3 on head-to-head matches but Egypt qualify as they scored an away in algeria)
Senario 2: Egypt win 3-1
Egypt 4 1 1 10 5 5 13
Algeria 4 1 1 10 5 5 13
(Same goal diff and draw on head-to-head matches and same goals for. Here its tricky as i read on fifa regulations, in that senario a decider game will be played between Egypt and Algeria on a nutreal ground. But a reporter on MBC said it will be decided by fairplay i.e. yellow, red cards)
Senario 5: Egypt win by 2 goals but concede more than 1 goal (i.e. 4-2) then Algeria qualify due to away goal rule.

By the way, Shehata said Zidan will be chosen to algeria match if he is in form!
Also please confirm from my above senario of egypt wining 3-1; is it gonna be a decider macth on nutreal ground or is it gonna be fairplay as MBC reporter said????
Please advice

guys, there is a huge debate going on.
some caf officials said that if we are equal in goal difference and goals scored which will be the case if we win 2-0 then away goals aren’t taken into consideration (we scored away) then we will have to play a tie breaker on a neutral grouund or a draw would take place.
on the other hand, a copy of FIFA regulations i have says it is points then goal difference, then goals scored, then direct matches (away goals) then fair play and then a draw which technical officials at the egyptian football assocciation confirmed.
honestly, these caf officials know nothing and i don’t believe them; anyway, we need to score 3 goals to be on the safe side and save ourselves these troubles.
and yes Zidan will return for the game!!

We need focus from now. Algeria is indeed a quality team from what I have seen. We will have to fight for every ball and play like we have nothing to lose- the way we play when we are underdogs (Ivory Coast, Italy, Brasil). 2-0 is still a big feat to accomplish. I am optimistic but we need to come ready to fight to win.
And Zidan will absolutely be needed IMO. Nobody works as hard as him up front

tamim is not correct. The away goal that Egypt scored in Algeria has no relevance. If Egypt win the final game by two goals the two teams will be tied, whether the score is 2-0, 3-1, 4-2, 18-16 or whatever. Qualification will be decided either by drawing lots, or by a neutral ground playoff, with extra time and penalties if necessary. FIFA are yet to clarify which method will be used, but it should be noted that Egypt are signed up to play a friendly in Germany on November 18th – the only date available to play such a playoff before the finals draw on December 4th.
The regulations can be seen by following this link – the relevant section is chapter 17, paragraphs 6 & 7 on page 21:
