Dream team kicks off against super eagles
On Monday the Egyptian U20 national team will start their quest for the African cup held in Rwanda with a match against the super eagles of Nigeria in group B that also comprises both Cote D’Ivoire and South Africa – that’s one hell of a group.
The match is going to be a tough one because Nigeria’s youth teams are always powerful, plus we don’t know how the fields are there and what accommodation problems we might face.
Our goal is not to win the cup, it would be an excellent thing if we do, but the real purpose in participating is getting ready for the world cup in September which will be held in Egypt and that is where our dreams lie.
Instead of playing friendlies, here we have at least three very competitive matches against supposedly very powerful sides who are eager to win to qualify for the world cup which will give our young players the experience they need.
Need me to remind you how we qualified after a literally last minute goal against Zambia in our away match there.
The team was originally formed by former Ahly and national team legend Rabei Yassine after doing a full scan of Egypt searching for talents but then the football association decided to bring foreign experience to coach the team so Miroslav scoop was given the job.
We previously won this cup 3 times in 1981, 1991 and in 2003 with Hassan Shehata
After Nigeria’s match we will play against Cote D’ivoire on Wednesday then against south Africa on Friday.
Best of luck for our boys
(NOTE: sorry for the lack of posts lately but I am having my final exams and barely find time to even sit on the computer; I will try as much as I can to catch up with the u21 team as well as Kenya’s friendly later this week)

read the post about winter tranfers; if you mean someone moving to europe there is none but if you mean domestically: walid solieman from petrojet, hany el egeezy from al ahly, abdullah al saeed from al ismaily, i can’t remeber all names but if they are good enough they will join the national team!!
