Egypt – Rwanda preview: For the world cup, for your pride, for Egypt….Attaaaaack!!

After a relatively satisfying confederations cup campaign with all its glories and disappointments and following a great hype surrounding the players morals after stupid and ignorant allegations of South African tabloids, we are now back to real action.

Our world cup qualifying starts now, I don’t care if the opponent is Rwanda, Algeria, Zambia or even Brazil….we need to win and we need to win big for that reason we must attack and keep on attacking until the final whistle.

I am not saying that Rwanda is weak, they are a very good team and the proof is that they have the same number of points just like us; the point is this is probably the easiest match in the group for us especially that it is played in Cairo and it maybe our last chance to achieve a high score.

Making the situation more and more difficult is the surprising result of Algeria against Zambia in Zambia winning 2-0 while we were waiting for a draw that would ease things for us.

Anyway, this group proved to be very unpredictable and full of surprises and no one knows for sure what will happen next, maybe Algeria will draw with Zambia or Rwanda or Zambia draw with us and beat Algeria or even Rwanda would achieve the impossible and do something.

And to ensure that we don’t for others’ surprises we must make our own luck when we take on Rwanda at Cairo military stadium tomorrow.

Rwanda

Just like us, the lost one and drew one so this maybe their last chance for qualifying to the world cup or even Africa cup next January for the first time since 2004 so they will be lacking no motivations.

Squad

Goalkeepers:
Jean Claude Ndoli, Jean Luc Ndayishimiye, Patrick Rutayisire, Emery Myuyekure

Defenders:
Ismael nshutiyamagara, Bonaventure Hategekimana, Aloua
Gaseruke, Alias Ntaganda, Aimable Rucogoza, Donatien Tuyizere, Jean
Bosco Uwacu, Arafat Serugendo

Midfielders: Albert Ngabo, Jean Pierre Hakiri, Jamal Mwiseneza, Jean
Shyaka, Eric Gasana, Mutesa Mafisango, Haruna Niyonzima, Pekeyake
Tuyisenge, Yussuf Ndayishimiye, Abdul Uwimana

Strikers:
Bokota Labama Kabama, Elias Uzamukunda, Said Abed makasi, Jimmy Gatete

Croatian manager of the team Branko Tucak is putting his trust on new and unknown players; he excluded some of the team’s stars and he recalled back FC Brussels pair Eale Lutula and Jean Paul Kielo Lezi, and Jules Cesar Oulai from Royale Union Saint Gillis in Belgium

Implementing usual mind games, the Rwandan football federation leaked news that three professionals playing in Cameroon will join the team as well as striker Mohammed Tchite of Spanish side racing Santander, but as usual none of this happened.

What were more interesting though were Rwandan officials’ statements about the game that they won’t return except with the three points and we will beat Egypt in front of its fans and stuff of this kind…and we are accused of being arrogant!!!!

Egypt

Despite our desperate need for goals, we don’t have but one striker in the squad, Ahmed Raouf, while Zaki, Mido, Abdel Ghani, Abu Greisha are all absent for different reasons between suspension and injury.

Instead Shehata will have to depend on 3 attacking midfielders: Abu Treika, Zidan and Ahmed Eid on the expense of one defensive midfielder, most probably Hommos.

Given the importance of the game and that any result except winning means Shehata and some players will be saying goodbye to the national team, Shehata will not innovate in the starting eleven and will field his standard, best and most logical eleven with no “intelligent” changes that cost us a lot against Zambia and USA.

Major absentees are: Ahmed Fathi, Ahmed Hassan, beside the above mentioned strikers; however, both Zidan and Moawad will return which is a big relief to me, I mean we all saw how much they were missed against the USA.

The last thing we need is a sneaky, dream-destroyer goal from the guests, so we should make sure we defend well and control midfield with short passes play like the one we did against Brazil especially in the second half.

Because every minute that passes means more pressure and stress in the field and in the stands, we need to score early to open Rwanda’s defenses and at least end the first half with a 2-0 score and I say at least.

Probable formation:

…………………….el hadary………………….
Mohammady….Oka…..said……gomaa…..moawad
………………abd Raboh…….shawky……………
…………………….abu treika………….. ……
………….zidan……………….ahmed eid……..

The match

It will be a one sided game and a single direction attack given that we control the midfield and defend well, score very early and most importantly…..NOT CONCEED.

Prediction:
3-0

I got my tickets and will be cheering from the stands……madad madad madad madad……SHEDY 7ELEK YA BALAD!!

Good luck for our boys insha2 Allah

ISA your prediction will be true and have fun at the game. I read on mtnfootball that the last time we played Rwanda we beat them 5-1 in 2004 hope the same thing happens tomorrow

it means were only 3 points behind algeria…. so we need to beat algeria when they come to egypt. and we cannot AFFORD TO LOSE to zambia in zambia or rawanda in rawanda
