El Haras trashes club Sfaxien, Mido and Zaki continue to shine!!
last Friday, Haras El Hdood won their third match n the group stages of CAF confederation cup against club sfaxien or “el sfaxy ” of Tunisia 3-1 raising their points to 6 and topping their group while mido and zaki continued their great form and topped the list of the EPL top scorers.
When Haras El Hdood was put in the same group against sfaxien and club africain everybody said that they will lose and that they aren’t known and they don’t have experience……bla bla bla. But El Haras had other plans, they won their first match against cub africain 2-1 in Alexandria then they lost the second match against interclub of Angola in Angola.
Their third mach was in Alexandria against club sfaxien, a very famous and powerful team who played the final of the champions league against al ahly in 2006- no comparison between the history of El Haras and them.
To their surprise after 12 minutes only, Ahmed Eid Abd El Malek, national team’s star scored the first goal from a powerful shot in the top corner after a great through ball from Ahmed Abd El Ghani who scored the second goal 4 minutes later from a great solo effort to snatch the ball before the keeper.
Club sfaxien had to respond and quick; their goal came from a corner played by Abd El Kerim El Nafti right into the net after on haras player touched it.
The game was tight again and both teams fought to control the midfield and by the end of the first half, Abd El Hamid Basyouni scored the third to end the match leaving sfaxien players in both shock and frustration.
The second half became very physical when Haras El Hdood played on defense and counter attacks while sfaxien attacked with all what they got but all their balls ended desperately in front of El Haras solid defense.
Haras El Hdood is now on top and if they can equalize in one of the two matches in Tunisia and win against inter club in Alexandria they have a great chance to advance to the final against Etoile Du Sahel most probably.
here are the match’s goals
Good luck to them
