Final four in Egypt cup

the four semi-finalists in egypt cup were decided yesterday. zamalek, haras el hdoud, Arab contractors and enppi will fight for the cup this year. in other news, emad meteb and hani said are flying to Moscow to play for Saturn and spartak Moscow respectively.

with ahly and ismaily out of the cup , zamalek has he best chance ever to compensate his fans for the 4 championship-free years. in the quarter final, zmalek played with suez cement, haras el hdoud with perojet , arab contractors with alumonium and enppi with el ittehad.

it was the most important and under the spot match in the quarter finals as zamalek needed this cup more than ever. and so it was a very tense match with a lot of fans and action as well. in the first half, suez started attacking making use of zamalek’s silly defense mistakes and they succeeded in scoring the first goal from a well-done counter attack. on the other hand zamalek started attacking but the players failed to be any where near dangerous and seemed to be disorganized with amr zaki and mostafa gaafar doing all the work. in the second half, ruud croll (zamalek’s manager) made 2 substitutions with hazem emam and alaa abd el ghany out and gamal hamza and mohamed ibrahim in. the match reached its 70th minute and zamalek wasted a couple of unbelievable chances in front of goal. the tension was rising and the players seemed to be desperate then comes a red card for gamal hamza to end it all. but on the contrary,the match started there, zamalek scored his first goal from a free kick that fooled wesam ismail suez’s goal keeper. 3 minutes later amr zaki started a counter attack but the keeper deflected it to find mostafa gaafar in front of an empty goal to make it 2-1. only 5 minutes later a penalty kick for zamalek saw amr zaki scoring zamalek’s third. suez stated attacking again but from another counter attack mohamed ibrahim made it 4-1 for zamalek to end the emotional, enthusiastic match.

-not far away, hani said flied to russia to sign the contract with his new club spartak moscow. hani’s former club ismaily will receive 1 million and 200 thousand dollars for the player.

- a delegation from fc sion arrived in cairo to negotiate with al ahly to buy the troubled goal keeper essam el hadary. al ahly want to raise the price of the player and sion is willing to pay. i hope this issue ends because i am sick of it!!!.
