Egypt

Hello Bob Bradley!

Well well well, The Egyptian FA has just announced Hassan Shehata’s successor to the throne and it’s none other than former Team USA coach… Bob Bradley.

Bob Bradley, the new Manager

Bob Bradley, the new Manager

I can’t say I’m delighted because I’m pretty sure Bob knows absolutely zilch about our players and national team… but on the other hand, he is a quite decent coach, tactically adequate and will focus more on the physical fitness of our national team which we seemed to be lacking for a while now.

It’s an OK choice for me as I would’ve preferred an Egyptian to take over right now instead of a foreigner who still needs to learn about the domestic league from scratch. There’s also the problem of understanding the mentality of Egyptian players which takes years to grasp and manage.

Out with the old, in with the new!

Out with the old, in with the new!

Anyway, here’s more information concerning the contract signed by Bob Bradley and the FA; the contract lasts until 2014 he will earn 30,000 euros a month, including a 10% annual raise. The contract can be terminated immediately if the Pharaohs fail to qualify to the 2013 ACN or the 2014 WC.

So what do you think? Is Bob the right man for the job? or was someone like Talaat Youssef, Mokhtar Mokhtar, Tarek el Ashry… etc. going to be a better option?

This is the best thing that has happened to Egypt in a long long time. Not only will Bob Bradley bring Fitness and Endurance to the Egyptian National Team, he will also teach the players discipline wich unformutalely many of them do lack. I believe that we will finally now reach the world cup.

Fingers crossed Rambo, I’m hoping for this to happen too. He has all the ingredients that an Egyptian coach should have for the team to succeed.

Bob is my number one pick for the Job. I believe that the Efa will help Bob with everything to get him ready with knowing the Egyptian way and the domestic football aspect as well as you see him at many of the domestic efa games like Al ahly game and the Egyptian cup games that recently passed. He also was at the niger vs. Egypts U-23 game where he had a good look at some of the young Pharaohs witch I believe is very important since they are the future of the Egypt NT. fitness will be very important as well as physical fitness the way the game is played today and in the future it will only get more physical.

Bob is capable of taking us to WC2014 and the skill of our Egyptian players is capable as well. I hope both can come together and create a new Internationale world class team. and i believe it can happen and it already started with our U23 team. well done boys on the 3-0 victory over niger.

A funny thing seems to happen in youth soccer. At some point we forget about basic development and start focusing on being competitive.Unfortunately soccer dvds this often happens too early and the results are irreversible and often permanent.
