Mido vs. Zaki

VS.

before the season kicked off, no one had great expectations for Egyptian players playing in the English premier league. none of us, even the most optimistic person, would have imagined such a great start for our players in England but we all seemed to be wrong; our players made the headlines of English newspapers and became the talk of the EPL fans.
tomorrow (Saturday),one game will catch the eyes of all Egyptians, that’s when the Egyptian trio will be in action against each other with Wigan athletic hosting Middelsbrough. we will have the chance to see Amr Zaki facing Mido and Mohamed Shawky so i thought why not put a mini preview.
Amr Zaki
it is enough to say that he is the league top scorer with five goals beside one goal in the Carling cup. amr simply kept on stunning the fans and the followers every week and quickly attracted the attention of everyone, receiving compliments from football legends in England praising his abilities and techniques as a football player on and off the field and soon became the fans’ favorite. he even was nominated to win the olden boot award for the top scorer of Europe.

The praise also came from his club director who compared him to England’s legendary striker Alan Shearer. his manager Steve Bruce praised him in many occasions on his work rate and his ability to adapt in the English league with its style of play quickly. team mate, Emil Heskey, England’s striker
praised Amr as a player saying that they both form a very dangerous couple but he said that Amr should start learning English to communicate easier.
this season wigan are aiming at a place in Europe and they are doing a good job up till now with the help of Amr Zaki who almost scores every match.
the most important thing in Amr’s expedition in the EPL is that Egypt is gaining more fans everyday and everybody is talking what we will do in the next world cup.
here are some goals for Amr
Mido
after a disappointing season full of injuries with little achievements, mido held a preparation camp for himself with The help of the fitness coach at his club and lost more than 12 Kgs of his weight and returned to us as the old Mido whose name shined in the biggest leagues of Europe.
Mido had a great start to the season with a goal against his former club Tottenham and an eye catching goal in Liverpool;however, things weren’t good as he was ranked third after Alfonso Alves and Tuncay, a problem which almost led him to leave the club and join Amr in wigan but Southgate, boro’s manager confirmed to Mido that he will play more.
for Mido’s surprise, Tuncay was hit with an injury that will keep him away for 2 months so now Mido is a first choice striker and he didn’t disappoint scoring more goals and putting great performances emerging as the star of the team.
however, things aren’t good for boro this season as they are in the 16th place in the table which is not good at all for a team that has more ambitions than surviving relegation.

shawky
this season shawky finally had the chance for regular football action with the team unlike last season where he was a bench warmer. played great matches making use of digard’s injury to reserve his place in the formation.
The match
who cares about the result? as long as both mido and zaki score, i am satisfied but i think it will be a good one.
The biggest loser: Mohamed Zidan!!!
