Mission accomplished

captsgecmy96260108221217photo00photodefault-512×4141.jpgthat was a typical derby, the tension was very high but egypt was able to get the job done and in style. today egypt won 3-0 to secure there place in the second round. this match had what is more than the 3 goals. it was like a battle with everything this word means.

it looks like every time it rains in Cairo, egypt will win. in Cameroon’s match day , it rained and egypt won. and today we had thunder and heavy rain and egypt won. so let’s keep hoping that it continue raining until the final.

into the match, Sudan took the match very physically. they couldn’t catch up with egypt technically or strategically. they knew that egypt is too powerful for them so they took the shortcut, if you can’t get the ball kill the player.!!

hassan shehata started with the same formation of cameroon’s match in order to give the players the confidence and trust.

first half

unexpectedly, Sudan started the game with attack, they pressured Egyptian players from the midfield. and when egypt had the ball, they went all to defense or in other words to tackle anything they see.the game started with a couple of dangerous chances for Sudan but the soon egypt started to respond and had some chances but the strikers failed to convert it into goals. and as the pressure increases at egypt to score a goal. hosni gets a penalty, he scored first but then again the ref orders to retake it. eventually, hosni scores the first goal and his third in the tournament.there was nothing else to mention in this half.

second half

egypt started this half with extreme pressure to secure there second goal. but when sudan’s defense finds a player in a dangerous situation it doesn’t mind if he break him. that’s why each and every attack was stopped violently. egypt deserved more than one penalty in this half but their 12th “the ref” player didn’t want to do so.and in the middle of the half hassan shehata made 2 key substitutions, he dropped in ahmed hassan and abu trika. after his entrance, abu trika was able to control better our midfield. in one of the attacks, he passes a through ball to amr zaki who waited until he came back to him and gave the ball to him in front of goal to score the second for egypt. the third goal came from a through ball from hosni abd raboh which abu trika took to maneuver the keeper and score Egypt’s third.

match results:
1- we can’t judge Egypt’s performance from this match because sudan isn’t a football team to play against. they spoiled the game with there extra violence and the high tension they showed in the game. i believe that egypt will do better than that against Zambia and in the second round.
2- midfield phenomenon continue to prevail . all Egypt’s 7 goals were scored by midfielders. it is a positive thing but it also increase concerns about the efficiency of strikers.
3-”mazda’s” statement crashed in the road, just like mboma’s.
4- shehata should start using some substitutes from the next match.
5-amr zaki must focus more in playing rather than other things.

wait for match goals and more interesting pictures.

Bravo once more, you guys are really cruising. It was tough and the final result is misleading but Aboutrika just continues to prove his class. What’s your take on him anyway? I know you’re a Zamalek fan and lots think Ahly is super lucky (i watched that cup derby last year where they came back right at the end, crazy game)… I imagine you support him only in the national team no? And what are you alluding to when you say Amr Zaki should focus more on playing rather than other things?

Anyways, well done to you and your team. It’s a delight to watch your skilled midfield.

to rami, thank you.first, concerning abu trika, i know he is a respectable player, with ahly i don’t like him at all but with the national team i am neutral with him, however i respect him a lot as an honest and polite person, besides his second goal was perfect and very beautiful.second, if you watched the game, amr zaki was always looking on the bench to see hassan shehata’s reactions about him, he is afraid to sit on the bench and he wants to score in order to get an european offer, therefore he is playing alone and he wasted a lot of chances where he could have given the ball to a colleague in a better position. i think he shold focus on playiing not showing himself.

to egyptian king, yes we had injuries , mohamed zidan and amr zaki went out because of injuries, but luckly they are minor ones and no one will miss the next match because of injury.

yea i watched it and knew amr zaki didn’t have the greatest of games (at least he gave that pass to abutrika) but i thought maybe you were referring to something i knew nothing about. like something that happened off the field. thanks for the clarification though!
