News in brief
- Hassan Shehata announced his list of professional players in Europe who will join the team’s camp in preparation for Zambia’s match on the 29th of march:
Mido, Amr Zaki (Wigan, England), Mohamed Shawky (Middlesbrough, England), Mohamed Zidan (Borussia Dortmund, Germany), El Hadary (Sion FC, Switzerland), Hosni Abd Raboh (Al Ahly, UAE), Emad Meteb (Al Ittihad, KSA)
The rest will be announced on the 21st this month; there is talk of selecting Zamalek’s rising trio of Alaa Ali, Hazem Emam and Ahmed El Merghany rather than that we won’t witness any surprises unless injuries has another word to say.
- Rwanda’s match has been moved to 5th of July instead of the 10th of June after Algeria rescheduled our match with them to be in the 7th instead of the 6th which makes it hard for us to play two matches in 3 days with flying, also because we will fly to south Africa on the 12th of the same match to start our confederations cup campaign.
- Ahmed Solieman has been in a exploration trip to Algeria to check on the training fields and hotels and make sure everything will be ready for us when we arrive there to avoid any silly situations we might be put in; he said that they were welcomed by officials there very much and that there should be no problem with habitation or training fields…….good news!!
I should mention that the game was moved form 5 June stadium in the capital Algeria to the city of Blida 40 km south of the capital.
