Not what i expected!
2-1 wasn’t the result i expected from our players, it isn’t only the result but also the performance was far from good. the 2 goals were scored by individual skill from amr zaki and ahmed eid abd el malek, rather than that the match was a total waste of time.
i was disappointed from the performance, it made me forget how we played and ghana and remember how we looked like in the african cup qualifiers. it was a total mess out there despite some skills from some players there was a lot of sloppy football especially from the midfield players and the right wing. i felt there was no strategy to follow, every attack was determined by the players’ skill to keep the ball or waste it. a lot of returning the ball backward which was very dull, a lot of mis passes and a lot of inaccurate crosses from ahmed el mohmady. if you would say that we were missing a lot of players, well we weren’t playing with cameroon or cote d’ivoire and the match wasn’t that difficult, the players who played the match could have finished it if they wanted.
i was disappointed from the fans who came in very llow numbers except from military men who filled large sectors of the stand. not only that, but some section of them started insulting el hadary in a very bad way, i wonder why some people bother themselves and go to the stadium only to insult someone, beside how would we win if you insult players or don’t they want us to win!!!
i was disappointed from hassan shehata because he was very nervous and he seemed to be shaky and afraid. i wished if he could keep his cool; however, i was happy for him after the victory because he would have been slaughtered by media if he lost. i only have a question for him, why are you insisting on emad meteb and ignore mohamed fadl!!!
i was disappointed from ahmed hassan, he seemed to play for the first time, he kept the ball for himself a lot of time beside his wrong long balls, also he failed to cooperate with his team mates for almost all the match.
i was disappointed from emad meteb, i wonder will he ever score again, he now seem to be normal with wasting chances. whatever chance you will give him he will waste. i wish he would put a better performance in the up coming chances
enough with the disappointments, now let’s move to the bright side:
1- the result is just what we needed to get the 3 points
2- we discovered new good faces like abd el aziz tawfik and ahmed eid abd el malek who scored a marvelous goal from a very difficult angle
3- we won a new left wing for the Egyptian team, ahmed samir farag was excellent and was very dangerous, he even wasted a good chance in front of goal
4- we had a good spirit to come back from the result and make it 2-1
5- every match, hani said proves what he is made of, a great player with great skills and a greater mentality i pick him for man of the match
now with the picture of the game:
nice celebration by congo players
