Remember the name: Amr Zaki
he is fast, he is powerful, he is lethal, he is a fighter, he is a top scorer, he is talented, he is born to score……he is Amr Zaki
background
Amr hassan zaki, the little boy born at 1/4/1983 the north city of mansoura Like all players Started playing football in the streets of the city then he moved to Portsaid to play for el meriekh club. He didn’t stay there for long and returned to his home to play with the u-16 in el Mansoura club where he developed and played with the first team. Ironically, some coaches there advised him to go play wrestling and not think about football because of his strong body; however, Amr Zaki’s star continued to rise.
In 2003-2004 season Amr moved to ENPPI club for 1 million pound; there Amr Zaki’s name became familiar. He helped the team win Egypt cup 2005 which their first trophy and in 2005-2006 season he finished the season as the league top scorer.
With a form like this, it was a matter of time that Amr will shine at the international scene. Comes the African cup of nations 2006 when Amr scored the winner in the semi-final against Senegal to reserve his place in the NT attack.
After the tournament, Amr was eager to play in Europe so he moved to locomotive Moscow for a million and 700000 euro which was the highest price for an Egyptian player moving from Egypt to Europe. Unfortunately, Amr didn’t play a single match there and returned after six months only to join Zamalek for 12 million pounds after a battle with al ahly for him.
With Zamalek, Amr excelled. In the first match he participated in was against his former club ENPPI, he scored the goal number 2000 for Zamalek in the Egyptian league.
The goals continued to pour, many of them were critical like the latest one in ENPPI also in the cup final last season.
Then came can 2008 were Amr presented his best performance scoring 4 goals with Egypt, 2 of them in Cote d’Ivoire. Who can forget his dribbling of kolo toure!!!!
Amr’s desire to play in the premier league was indispensable and out of question. Indeed, he got an offer from Wigan and moved to the JJB stadium.

Characteristics
He may not have the skills of c.ronaldo or ronaldinho but Amr enjoy a strong body build. His style of play depends on his speed and strength which perfectly fits the EPL.
Amr Zaki enjoys the advantage of playing with both feet adding to it his astonishing ability to finish attacks and his long range shots Amr is a very dangerous man in front of the goal.
Another advantage of Amr is his fighting spirit on the field, especially when he is really interested in playing. He usually put the opponent’s defense under pressure and never makes them at ease with the ball.
Future
Two goals in the first two matches made Amr the fans’ favorites. With the official EPL matches to come Amr will be the next rising star in England and I doubt he will continue with Wigan next year.
With the national team, the qualifiers are coming and Amr is one of the players that fans depend on in leading us to the South Africa finals.
