Show us respect…..not crap!!

crap-1.JPG it seems that two years is enough time for people to forget things, so they start saying crap and then they like the crap so they start saying crap again . others find this crap thing amusing so they start saying crap of their own and they encourage some unknowns to say crap…why not us?.this is exactly what happened with egypt!!.

before i start , i just want to make something clear is that i am not offending anyone or any team , i am just angry with the individual behavior of some people with all the respect to them. i know that Egypt is not as powerful as teams like cote d’ivoire or Cameroon or Nigeria but they are still the champions; i also know that most of European or other fans aren’t very familiar with the players of the Egyptian team cuz they don’t play in Europe. but this doesn’t mean to underestimate Egypt because Egypt has always been an important force in African football.

now, let’s start with the crap thing. last week, mark mboma -Cameroon player- was quoted in statements in l’equipe magazine where he said that he thinks that Egypt isn’t a rival for Cameroon and that Egypt isn’t even a competitive side in the tournament and they won the 2006 tournament only because of their fans.first i agree that Egyptian fans were one of the major reasons for the victory, but the fans won’t score goals in the field!!!.second it looks like mboma forgot what Egypt has done to Cameroon in wc qualifiers when they beat them in Cairo 3/2 and equalized with them in their own home1/1 and deprived them from going to Germany and all the troubles egypt made for Cameroon in the history of their matches. he can’t underestimate the Egyptian team in this way and i am sure that his fellow players and manager are considering their match with egypt many times, remember they are facing the champion like it or not!!!

kalusha crap
crap-2.JPG if mboma says these things he “might” have some authority as he was a great player with a great team like cameroon. but when teams like Zambia also start saying crap about egypt it becomes a mess and everyone should know his position. kalusha bwalya was a good player , no problem .but what has he done in his life that can be compared to what egyptian players did like hossam hassan, el khateeb and many others!!!. last week also, kalusha nominated 6 teams to win the tournament:Ghana, Cameroon, cote d’ivoire, Nigeria, Mali, Senegal. i don’t have a problem , this is his opinion and he is free to say what he wants. but he also said that north African teams (including Tunisia and morocco) aren’t good and they only win when they host the tournament, he also said that he is very optimistic about qualifying with Cameroon to the next round and that he doesn’t fear the Egyptian team,!!!. doesn’t fear!! at least respect them!! he is talking as if this egypt team hasn’t beet Zambia 4/0 in 1998 and many other times i can’t remember all.

Sudan’s crap
when Sudan’s teams hilal and mareekh beat ahly and zamalek everybody respected them. but that doesn’t mean that Egyptian team will be an easy side to beat by sudan!!. kamal shaddad president of Sudan football associations said that he is not concerned about egypt or cameroon or zambia and that all the results between egypt and Sudan aren’t enough for egypt to beat Sudan. the team star haytham tambal (has any body heard this name before?!!) say that they are going to Ghana and heading for the final game ignoring the fact that they have egypt and cameroon in he group. i just want to remind our Sudanese brothers that egypt beat them in wc qualifiers 3/0 in Sudan and 6/0 in Cairo and that they haven’t qualified since 1976 until they did at last (in this period egypt won 3 titles). a funny thing is that sudan was crushed by guinea 6/0 yesterday. please take care of your own business and don’t talk so arrogantly!!!

the best response for all this is in the field. if teams don’t show respect to egypt then it must earn it.
now let’s refresh our memories and other people’s memories and go back in time 2 years ago.

Take it easy brother. Everybody is entitled to their opinion.

In some way, what these guys said is kinda true.

Egypt should not have any trouble negotiating their group. But after that, things get tricky.

Best wishes
