USA didn't need to get "lucky" against brazil or italy, because they got "lucky" against egypt. And yea, one goal. But you know what, Egypt knew about that goal when they were down 2-0 with 20 minutes left. This didn't come by surprise. If Egypt had any talent, they wouldn't have given up the third goal.

And this isn't about CONCACAF, it's about the USA. Yea, CONCACAF sucks and there is no competition, where Africa is competitive. But guess what, USA isn't CONCACAF, they just play there. They would qualify out of Africa. They beat the so called "African Champions"
(Even though Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria are miles ahead).

You can make all the excuses in the world and whine and complain all you want, but I don't care, because my team beat your team 3-0. And it's sad, that the USA has no talent on the ball. We still smashed your pathetic little team to pieces. If you can't beat a team with no talent, then why waste your time even rooting for Egypt.

Good luck in the world cup next year....oh wait, nevermind.

Also, the difference between Americans like Jessie and Mark on the one hand and the Egyptian fans is their delusional arrogance. The Egyptian fans are giving generous, gracious credit to the US -- I don't see US fans doing that here at all.

Jessie, you're totally delusional. Yeah, Egypt were "lucky" against Italy -- I've never seen the US get "lucky" against the world champions. "Luck" is a word delusional people use to ridicule a better team's success. They also got "lucky" against Brazil too. They seemed to get "lucky" a lot. I've never seen the US get "lucky" against the two teams who've won the most world cups. Don't you love these Americans -- they win ONE game in a little tournament (beating a supposedly "crap" team they're SO much better than) and they're now world beaters. Jessie, the ONLY reason the US is in the semifinals is because of ONE goal -- that's it! If Brazil hadn't gotten that penalty, if Italy had scored one goal against Brazil, if Egypt had scored one goal against the US, you would've been out of the tournament. ONE GOAL--that's the difference! Wow, how impressive!

I guess you're also better than Italy because they're not going thru to the semifinals, right?

And Jessie, Egypt face far FAR stronger competition in Africa than the US does in CONCACAF. The CONCACAF region is a joke. The reason the US always makes it to the world cup is because you have ZERO competition: Guatemala, Canada, El Salvador? Yeah, wow, amazing competition there! Meanwhile Egypt have to face teams like Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, teams that routinely give the big teams a very difficult time in the world cup. There are African players all over the big clubs in Europe, where are the superior Americans?

Your team is CRAP, there is NO American player with talent on the ball like Zidan and Aboutrika -- NONE! American players are unbelievably awful on the ball. It'll be fun watching them get run over by the Spanish.

These tournaments are all about injuries and suspensions and having to cope with them. I've even known players who still played with an injury that wasn't yet fully healed.

How do you think ever to win the worldcup? That's a lot more games than just 3 in a row.

The US is better than Egypt, if u don't think so then take 3-0 and eat it. Please, im tired of hearing the excuse that egypt was tired and full of injuries. The USA was tired too, they played the same games the same days. Injuries...let's not talk about injuries.

USA was missing their starting forward and two defenders in the back. But we didn't say anything the whole tournament. Why? Because we don't make excuses.

USA played better against Italy than Egypt did. Egypt is a lucky team, always has been and always will be, you'll never be anything more. And that's exactly the reason you're going home, and that's exactly the reason you aren't going to the world cup once again, and that's exactly the reason you are left with nothing but your excuses.

USA 3-0 Egypt.

Yes, the arrogance of Americans never fails: "plain and simple…USA is a better team" -- the US were crap against Italy and Brazil while Egypt beat Italy and came very close to drawing against Brazil. What the hell did the US do? Beat a tired Egypt who were without their best player.

The US is an utterly mediocre, godawful team. I'm Brazilian, live in the US, studied in Egypt in the 80s and have many friends there. I love Egyptian football and was very glad to see Egypt give Brazil a good game. For long periods in that game they were the better team and Brazil did not deserve to win it. Were it not for that penalty, Egypt would be in the semifinals. I really thought Egypt would beat a thoroughly poor US team.

Thanks to Egypt for making this tournament entertaining and surprising -- please just go on and qualify for the world cup! The US, meanwhile, are just horrible to watch and have absolutely no talent on the ball.

I dont think we should be thanking them at all to be honest. This just keeps them from progressing. The media needs to be critical and harsh- about the performance and the rumors about the night before the match.

In the long run I think whats needed is to send as many players as possible to Europe to play. They can learn to become professionals like Zidan has done- or they can continue in their ways like Zaki and be dropped forever.
