The aftermath
So life goes on; the campaign is still long and for those who need a proof , look at Argentina being hammered by Bolivia yesterday 6-1; did anybody say that their campaign is a failure or that they are a bad team, probably not, they were just having a day off so as we did.
As usual, the media started to create troubles by making up the Mido – Zaki saga at a time when we needed unity and calmness the most; the story is obviously fake because as I said before Mido looked very normal before the game and there were no signs of trouble, also during substitution with Meteb they behaved normally on the contrary of what papers said that Mido insulted Meteb and Zaki and criticized Shehata.
An investigation was opened by the FA in the case and it will be followed by some decisions; a theory says that it is a decoy to turn the attention from the result of the match!!!
Anyway, the match left casualties with Zaki out for 4 weeks because of muscular problems and Ahmed Hassan for two weeks because of injury in the groin.
-Shehata said after the game that no player is favoured over the interest of the national team and that player positions and tasks in the field were part of the coaching staff strategy and didn’t come randomly
“We haven’t given up hope of qualifying for the World Cup. We still have five matches in hand,”
“I know that our supporters were expecting a better result against Zambia, but they just have to be patient.”
These were the man’s words after the game
-frustration prevailed among the fans; the day after the match I was taking the metro and people had no talk except about the game and how Shehata messed everything and our chances in qualifying; groups on facebook were made with the like of “petition to stop Meteb from starting every game” .
However, a lot of people are still hopeful and optimistic that we can win the remaining matches and I go with them.
-the team is going to have a preparation camp in Oman immediately after the league comes to an end next month and there will be a game between Egypt and Oman on 31st of may, the team returns on the 4th of June then flies to Algeria for the anticipated match.
One thing we need now is to forget the match against Zambia and focus on the next mach against Algeria which will be crucial for our campaign; I think Shehata made a good decision by taking the team outside the country for a relatively long time to increase the concentration and restore harmony and team spirit among players.
The Algerians now are eager to beat us and won’t accept any other result so we have to do our best; from now on players need to enter every game with an African cup final mentality without any kind of underestimation to opponents.
That’s all for now folks, keep tuned for further developments

Zaki is in deep, deep trouble hes going from hero to zero. Bruce said that hes ad enough if his behavior and misconduct. Is this not the same Buce that hailed Zaki’s awesomeness only a few months ago. I hope he can end on a strong note this season and remain on the premier league. Good Luck Zaki
