The hunt for a manager continues…

First of all, I’d like to apologize for the extremely slow rate with which I have been posting articles. I’ve been busy ever since graduating getting paperwork ready for the army (fingers crossed I don’t get enrolled) and applying for jobs to start my career!

Anyway, that’s not the point I want to discuss, I want to give you an update concerning the national team coach. After Hassan Shehata got sacked/submitted his resignation letter, the FA have been on the hunt for an adequate manager and uptil now, the search has come to no avail.

Vingada chose China over us... FML

Vingada chose China over us... FML

2 days ago, the highly coveted Nelo Vingada rejected the chance of taking over the national team. His reason? taking over the Chinese national team. Laughable yeah, but money talks and football has become a business rather than a sport. More on that Here.

Talaat Youssef

Talaat Youssef

So what now? There are some names being thrown around in the media but none are glamour ones that’s for sure. The latest being Talaat Youssef, who admittedly did an impressive job with Ittihad el Shorta this year, but is a 4th placed finish worth taking over the national team job? Arguably the most stressful job in Egypt. Constantly having to prove yourself to the ruthless media (yours truly included) and getting criticized left, right and center for each substitution and each mistake the coach makes. Let’s not forget Talaat Youssef works in a stress-free club that has no supporters and we have no clue how he would react when he’s subject to the sustained pressure of the job. More on that here.

To wrap things up, the FA still have no clue who’s gonna take over and the names being linked to the job are not something to write home about. So what do you, my dear readers, think? Who is suitable enough for the job? and why?

Hello Hany… I hope all is well with you and your family inshalla. What do think about Manuel Jose ? He is familiar with the Egyptian player and has a great track record with Ahly .

Bahaa Basha, how have you been doing? I’m alright and the family is doing great thanks alot, how’s everything with you and your family?

I think Jose would be a great coach for the national team, he knows kol kebeera w sagheera about Egyptian players and he would fulfill their potential to the maximum. However, I think that Jose is too unpopular among opposition fans and they won’t ever accept him as their coach.

Everything is great thanks….. I’m glad to hear your doing well good luck with the military …..
Really they wouldn’t accept him because he’s an Ahly coach …… That’s stupid

Excited Bradley already working on Egypt task

American coach Bob Bradley is gearing up for the task of managing Egypt even though he has yet to agree terms with the FA, as revealed by former US goalkeeping coach Zaki Abdul-Fattah.

Bradley, the closest of three candidates to land the Egypt job, is keen to follow the training of some Cairo clubs as he is still in talks with Samir Zaher and his board over the vacant seat.

“He is extremely excited,” Abdul-Fattah, the Egyptian who worked five years with Bradley with the US national team, said in an interview with Ahli TV.

“When the FA contacted him, he phoned me saying ‘get ready we’re heading to Cairo’. And since then he cannot stop thinking about his potential mission.

“Bradley asked me to make arrangements so that he can attend the training of Zamalek, Arab Contractors and ENPPI, like he had done with Ahli.

“He now knows everything about Egyptian football and is totally ready for the job. He is also delighted with the friendly behavior of Egyptian people.”

Bradley was sacked as USA coach by the end of July, nearly two months after Hassan Shehata parted ways with Egypt.

The 53-year-old led his nation to the 2010 World Cup round of 16 before being ousted by Ghana.

yEA I AGREE IT SHOULD BE WAY MORE ACTIVE I HOPE POLITICS IS NOT GETTING IN THE WAY. But the young pharaohs run by Hany Remzi should be really interesting and Im actually excited to see them play I always thought the young pharaohs will need to get a chance to get the NT ready for Brazil 2014. the future looks good if our u21 plays like they do with the great passing. we just need the strikers to finish or use strikers like shikabala, zidan, zaki , geddo , fathi , meteb, and many more so i really feel like we can have a great team to come if we just get things together and going ISA.

hope every ones ramadan is going well : D. JUST A COUPLE MORE DAYS LEFT TILL EID!…. :)

China … EWWW….a country that made “shaolin football” (google it) shouldnt be allowed in the Fifa for atleast 100 years! … the nation of China and its decedents must be punished for that clip :P ….i think that Vingada weighted Stability of the football federation over the name of the team….he could’ve chosen Vietnam if he had the choice between Vietnam and egypt…
