Congratulations on your outstanding victory!!! Allah u akbar!

Two words:
1) VERY
2) NICE
Congrats Tamim, hopefully we’ll be seeing you guys in the semi-finals instead of Italy again for the third time in a year. I give you guys full credit, you came out to play and although Italy certainly had a lot of chances, it just proves that football is one hell of an unpredictable game and the team with the bigger hearts beat the team with the bigger ego’s.

Congrats Tamim and Egypt for winning the cup. Cough, cough, cough. lol!!
Tamim, now you see how it feels like after beating giants.

i think malawi fans should get over the victory against us in the group matches, really, it was once in a life time and if the match is to be played 100 times we would win 99 of them (or at least we won’t lose, this way)
don’t get me wrong, i am not arrogant or something but you give me an impression that this is the only thing you have ever done in your history!!!
best of luck!!

Tamim, it’s called the “Cinderella” story.
The Flames have always been referred to as the “underdogs” in their previous groups. “Underdogs” have to work twice as hard and be twice as smart as the big, established teams out there. So, no wonder there’s the joy of upset. The surprise and celebration of the long-shot win: The stories that are told over and over about the dramatic “I can’t believe it” happenings.
Tamim, Malawi won again in Egypt. After Malawi beat Egypt 1-0 in Malawi, most Egyptian fans predicted that The Flames would be mummified in Egypt by at least 5 goals to nil. Egypt ended up “winning” unconvincingly (2-0). I understand you were saved by “pocket goals”. Also, after scoring a goal against Malawi in Egypt, did you see Egyptian fans celebrating as if their team had just scored a winning goal in the World Cup Finals?. Really proved that you are quite scared of The Flames.

Great win for us. But my dream is to do these things in the World Cup. That is the only stage that really matters. I fear we wont get a chance. Hopefully we get there somehow after these inspiring performances…

looks like sscouser just schooled u tamim

watch ur words,
we have beaten the world champions, the highest thing you can get on this planet and we outplayed brazil in an official international tournament watched by millions around the world and attended by fifa officials.
u have beaten us 1-0 in the last minute in a preliminary group stage of the qualifications tat only malawians have watched and you recieved your treatment here in cairo; don’t tell me it is only 2-0 because you didn’t create a single chance!!
it was a once in a lifetime event for a tiny football country like malawi, while we showed consistency against the best teams in the world and earned their admiration and appreciation.
where the hell is the comparison; there is no comparison.
plus, how many people knew about it and how many still remember it!!!
there will always be some people who want to spoil our victories because we are the champions and we proved to be world class, i tell them thank you, you are the proof of how big we are!!

Tamim, I was rooting for Egypt strongly today (see the liveblog!) and am overjoyed with their victory.
But remember this: always be humble. You have a team that is not accustomed to winning at this stage, so you have poor experience in how to be good winners. It takes maturity.
Think of it this way: the love and respect people (the world at large, FIFA, futbol fans) have for the victorious underdogs (see North Korea ‘66) is matched only by the hate people have for second-rate powers that prematurely claim to be world-class (see Mexico).
This was a glorious victory for Egypt, but hey, Mexico has beaten Brazil (the Pentacampeones) soundly several times in official tournaments. Beating the world powers doesn’t make you one, it is merely the first step.
Hope you make the semi-finals this Sunday!

and i couldn’t agree with you more
thanks for supporting us!!

We’ll see if it gets in the players heads and they are overconfident against the USA.

ta7ia maser
congratulations from Jordan ,hope you do great against USA

Congratulations Tamim!
The victory feels even better because people were writing Egypt off before the start of the Confederations cup.
