today, Egypt won 3-0 against Namibia in its first friendly match warming p for Ghana 2008. the match was played in aswan in a pcked stadium. amr zaki scored twice and il capitano Ahmed hassan scored once.and here is the match summary
hassan shehata started with 3-5-2 formation with 3 defenders: hany said , shady mohamed and ahmed fathi; 5 midfieldes omar gamal,ahmed el mohamady, hosni abd raboh , said moawad and ghaly; 2 strikers: amr zaki and emad moteb
first half
the egypyian team presented a very poor performance and failed to seriously threat the Namibian goal except from some chances which the players didn’t make use of it well. the most important chance at 15′ from a cross from the right flank but amr zaki failed to score from it. on the other hand the Namibian team succeeded in applying the counter attack and had a real threat when they had this through pass and the player shot the ball in front of goal but el hadary managed to keep it away.
second half
the headline for this half is amr zaki’s show. only after minutes from the beginning of the second half amr zaki scored from a wonderful shot from inside the box to make it 1/0 for Egypt. after the goal Egypt played calmly and started substituting players.and in 72′ ahmed hassan participated and after several minutes he scored from a powerful shot from outside the box. the third goal came from a free kick delivered by Ahmed hassan to find amr zaki’s head and into the back of the net. there were also some dangerous chances for Egypt in this half but they were all either missed by the players or the Namibian keeper caught them.
worth mentioning that Egypt will fly right after the match to abu dhabi to meet Mali.
