Zaher elected president of EFA, but will he stay so?!!
Yesterday, Samir Zaher won the Egyptian football association elections to remain the president for the third consecutive time and forth in his career with a huge margin over his closest competitor Kamal Darwish (87 to 25 vote).
The question now is will Zaher remain the president of the EFA?
Not only did Zaher win but his entire roster formed of Magdy Abd El Ghani, Hani Abu Reida, Ayman Yones, Hazem El Hawary and Mahmoud El Shamy was elected with complete dominance over the votes.
But let’s go back two days before the elections; the supreme administrative court ruled that Zaher’s candidacy was illegitimate because of his failure to present his criminal record during registration which means that he doesn’t fulfill the clause which says that any candidate must have a clean criminal record.
Consequently Zaher was excluded from the elections leaving his opponents (ashraf shaker and osama khalil) in extreme joy after they won the case against him and that he can’t even challenge the ruling.
But what happened was that Samir Zaher challenged the court’s ruling the very next day thus returned to the elections.
Now we have to wait what will the court have to say about Zaher’s situation; will he remain president or will the elections be re staged???
Anyway, the most important thing that the national team isn’t affected by all this bullshit and that Hassan Shehata would receive full support from whoever is there at the EFA by providing him with decent friendly games before the world cup qualifications and the confederations cup.
what do you think? can this situation go under O.I.E category?

omg fuck this bullshit…..we shud get al khateeb to manage the national team not al ahly…he seems like a good candiate and more importantly mature and honest…totaly OIE!!!!!!dis shit wud nvr happen anywhere else not even in like fuckin cambodia or some shit!

omar: i respect your choice but i have to say that el khateeb was engaged in stealing public money at al ahram organization and was brought to court….sadly i have to say, no on from those people is clean, all of them are corrupt; so in this case i think we should stick to someone who can bring achievments like zaher, not because i am a fan of him but he is the best available!!!

OIE indeed… What can you do about it? I just hope it doesnt ruin our chances at the WC…

Shit thats just stupid….. and no el khateeb is just as bad and he prolly wouldn’t get voted in cuz they would say he is with ahly only.
